Workshopping Innovative Summer Programs for Jewish Teens
Today's teens are different than those of prior generations. They are seeking different program models and opportunities for the summer months. Thousands of New York teens DO NOT participate in Jewish summer programs and the current marketplace does not meet their needs.
The Jewish Education Project, in partnership with UJA-Federation of NY and the Jim Joseph Foundation, is implementing a new initiative, The NY Incubator for Immersive Summer Experiences for Jewish Teens, which aims to create new, innovative and stimulating summer program models that will engage more Jewish teens by meeting their needs in ways that the current market is not.
A UJA-Federation of New York task force has now selected the 8 programs that will be joining the incubator for teen summer programs and we recently held the first full day workshop for this group.
